Against soil-dwelling pests
Hypoaspis Miles predatory mites for biological control of fungus gnat larvae in the soil. Fungus gnat larvae can cause root damage to various plants and seedlings. In the worst case, they can cause the plants to die.
Application:
The soil-dwelling predatory mite(Hypoaspis Miles or Stratiolaelaps scimitus) combats fungus gnat larvae efficiently in a natural way. In addition to fungus gnats, the Hypoaspis predatory mite feeds on many other soil-living animals such as springtails, earth fleas, root lice, centipedes and their eggs. The predatory mite is considered undemanding, tolerates a wide range of environmental conditions and has low requirements in terms of temperature and humidity.
The predatory mites regulate various soil-dwelling pests. However, the visible effect occurs later than with the use of nematodes. If there is no more prey, the predatory mites also disappear.
